Introduction
The convergence of IP networking and video surveillance is no longer debatable. The network effect has seen to that. In an age where even your cellphone has an IP address, it’s no longer possible to ignore the necessity of opening up the video surveillance industry to the same transformative factors that have driven down customer costs and opened up an entirely new world to everybody. At NetVid Labs, we realize that the complexity of an IP network can be daunting to the uninitiated, and therefore, adoption of IP video surveillance has been slow for the overwhelming majority of installations.

The Small System Solution
Using a low-powered Windows-based server system, the VN-100 Series offers the most stable, open, easy-to-use option available for small IP camera systems today. The VN-100 Series is fully pre-configured with NVL-VMS, a fully-featured video management system. NVL-VMS supports cameras from 30 different manufacturers. The VN-100 Series ships with either 1 or 2 terabytes of hard disk storage, enough to support up to four months of H.264 video from eight 1.3Megapixel cameras running at 5 frames per second.

Reliability
NetVid Labs provides complete support for installation and commissioning of the VN-100 to ensure end-user satisfaction (requires end-user internet connection.) Because we configure these systems ourselves, we have a complete understanding of the entire package, and our online support can make the installation even simpler for the installer.

Options
NetVid Labs also offers complete packages for the VN-100 to further reduce installation time. These packages include:

  • Pre-configured VN-104, VN-108 or VN-116
  • Pre-configured cameras from a variety of manufacturers
  • Pre-configured 8- or 16-port port POE switch
  • Color-coded Ethernet patch cables for all connections (camera, server, internet)

Live Monitoring Services
Live video monitoring is available through NetVid Labs’ partner, Stealth Monitoring. Unlike event-based monitoring, live video monitoring allows for proactive security management, preventing the crime before it occurs, rather than after. NetVid Labs will manage the setup and commissioning with Stealth Monitoring, and ensure that your customer’s property is protected at all times.
